Do your employees know what to do during a flood? What about an earthquake? Are any volcanoes nearby? What disasters are most likely to occur near your workplace? Do you know?

Life, Liberty, And Pursuit of Happiness Project (LLPHP) Emergency Preparedness consulting focuses on small businesses and Human Services providers. Why those businesses? Because I worked for almost 20 years for a residential services provider. I understand the preparedness challenges of a small to medium size business.

One of my roles was Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. I developed our emergency plan and trained our employees. We usually had about 150 employees. About 60 individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities received our services. We considered the unique needs of each individual. Emergency Managers and First Responders who read the plan I wrote regularly praised it.

Now, I offer my experience to you and your business. The company I worked for was technically a medium size business. However, in many ways it felt like a small business environment. I loved that feeling. My experiences also taught me the struggle of needing to be prepared while having too little time and too many responsibilities. My longtime HR Director used to refer to it as “wearing too many hats”. Do you know that struggle? I can help lighten your load.

What’s The Difference Between LLPHP’s Consulting And Coaching Services?

Consulting services differ from Coaching services. Coaching focus on empowering, guiding, and helping individuals. Consulting services focus on businesses. We collaborate differently. The process is different.

What Does A Preparedness Consultation Look Like?

Each consultation will look a bit different. Every business is different. I can do a comprehensive consultation or focus on certain aspects of preparedness. Either way, during the consultation, I’ll work closely with you. During the consultation, I’ll evaluate your current level of preparedness. Together, we’ll take a look at any emergency plans, supplies, employee training programs, etc. you already have. If you’re new to preparedness, that’s o.k. Everyone has to start sometime.

I’ll make specific, customized recommendations for your business. My recommendations will help you and your employees be safer. You’ll know what to do in a disaster. You will feel empowered.

As a bonus: Empowered employees are generally happier employees. Happier employees are often employees that stay.

Another bonus: some recommendations may also help with OSHA inspections. It’s convenient. There’s some overlap between preparedness and general worker safety.
