Shoes!

|

On this day, in 1310, the first shoes meant to specifically go on the right foot and left foot were reportedly made. Until this time, they were straight and interchangeable. They could be worn on either foot.

Other accounts say the Romans had right and left shoes. Some say right and left shoes weren’t made until the 1800’s. It’s possible these dates refer to different advances in technology making it easier to craft and then later manufacture different shoes.

In our era, we have so many options when it comes to shoes! There are a multitude of sizes, styles, and colours. For many people, shoes can be a status symbol, or a way of expressing ourselves. Shoes can mean so much!

Shoes And Life

Just as no one pair of shoes fit everyone’s feet, personality, or activities there is no single way for everyone to find happiness; no single way to build and live their lives in a fulfilling, empowering, sustainable manner. Everyone has their own preferences, likes, dislikes, habits, routines, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Because the Life, Liberty, And Pursuit Of Happiness Project recognises and celebrates these differences, we do not advocate one specific approach for you to build your best, happiest, life. Instead, we present options. We share tools. LLPHP is like a giant shoe store with so many options. We want to help and empower you to find the best fit for you. The best way for you to be happy.

LLPHP is working to develop more and more ways to help empower you. We’ll roll them out as they are ready. If you have ideas how we can help, whether it’s something as simple as a tracking chart or something as personalised and in depth as individual life coaching, please let us know. You can contact us by emailing contact@llphp.org or through our social media profiles on Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook.

Lots of people love shoes, and love shopping for them. It helps fill a need for some. For others, maybe it’s just about wardrobe options. Regardless, shoes have come a long way in the last thousand years. How we can build and live our lives has too.
