- 1290: King Edward I ordered the expulsion of Jews from England and the edict remained in place for 350 years
- 1716: All Jews were expelled from Brussels
- 1941: The SS drowned 40 Jews in the Dvina River, Belorussia
- 1964: A race riot in Harlem occurred and spread into Brooklyn
- 1996: Storms caused severe flooding on the Saguenay River in what was one of Québec’s costliest natural disasters ever
- 2018: The Hawaii National Guard confirmed that lava from Kilauea volcano’s eruption then happening had destroyed 700 homes and added 700 acres to the Big Island
