  • 1913: The South African Government passed the segregationist Native Land Act, which restricted the purchase or lease of land by native Africans
  • 1943: 2 people were killed during Race Riots in Beaumont Texas
  • 1944: George Stinney, a 14-year-old African-American boy, was wrongfully executed for the murder of two white girls, becoming the youngest person ever executed in 20th-century America
  • 1959: South African Apartheid government efforts to remove Black people from Cato Manor were met with violent resistance
  • 1964: An earthquake struck Niigata, Japan
  • 1970: Race Riots occurred in Miami, Florida
