• 1430: Jews were expelled from Eger, Bohemia
• 1735: France and Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI signed a peace accord
• 1904: France and Spain signed treaty for Moroccan Independence
• 1915: A 7.8 earthquake shook Pleasant Valley, Nevada
• 1922: Rebecca Felton of Georgia became the first woman in the US Senate
• 1932: Iraq gained full independence from Great Britain
• 1941: All elderly Jewish men of Kerenchug Ukraine were killed by the SS
• 1941: Nazis blew up 6 synagogues in Paris
• 1963: A hurricane hit Haiti causing about 5,000 people’s deaths and 100,000 injuries
