- 1550: Jewish physician Joseph Hacohen was expelled from city of Genoa with all other Jews expelled soon after
- 1973: ITT admitted to asking the CIA to influence Chilean presidential election
- 2006: Over 60 tornadoes broke out. The hardest hit State was Tennessee with 29 people killed
- 2019: 70 villages were evacuated in Iran’s Khuzesta province after at least 45 people were killed in severe flooding
