- Health and Happiness with Hypnosis Day
- 1360: Jews were expelled from Breslau, Silesia
- 1521: About 300 heretics were burned in Vrijdagmarkt, Gent
- 1585: Amsterdam banned 45 Roman Catholics
- 1670: Austrian Emperor Leopold I expelled 4,000 Jews from Vienna
- 1830: Charles X signed the July Ordinances which suspended freedom of the press, among other effects
- 1835: Ibrahim Pasha’s army attacked Jewish settlers in Hebron
- 1917: Sir Thomas Whyte introduced the first income tax in Canada as a “temporary” measure
- 1918: Race riots in Chester, Pennsylvania resulted in the deaths of 5 people
- 1938: Jewish artisans were not allowed in Germany
- 1957: The Monarchy in Tunisia was abolished in favor of a republic
- 1964: Race riots occurred in Rochester, NY
- 1972: US health officials conceded African Americans were used as guinea pigs in a 40 year syphilis experiment without knowledge or consent
- 2014: Palestinian officials called for a “Day of Rage” in response to Israel’s operations in Gaza
